what is prayer?... it unleashes Gods's power so that he is able to work in our behalf. ..prayer opens the channels of God's blessing...prayer is how God accomplishes the things that he wants to see happen in our lives, and in the lives of others...prayer opens new doors of opportunity for God to move in...yeah i do pray..but i don't go to church that often anymore...now don't think i've lost faith in God...i just don't go to church..but i do pray..pray almost all the time..to me, praying is when you are fully focused to God..not when you're in church and checking out other people..i'm not blaming churches ok..it's just our instincts and we always give in to temptations...anyway, prayer needs 100% well if not, 90% of our minds to fully focus while talking to God..not just simply say the words while your mind wanders around...yeah i know that's difficult, that's why we are all humans...i guess God understands why we are all like that..no matter what we do, we'll always remember God...that's why we will say those famous 3 words...

sabotaged...

hmmnn seems like the boycott has made an impact..woohh!...i just found out tat my assignment for a marketing subject has been sabotaged...its content was changed with another assignment subject but the cover sheet remained...but the original content was lost...i was shocked!...who on earth would do such thing?!...anyways got it sorted out with lecturer..luckily there's blackboard..the original softcopy was in it...wahahha...so again, come on hard if you think you're hard enough!

i signed another petition again..this time by the photomedia club...sweett!...more boycotts...hehehe...it contains the appeal for the student council to be demolished as it has lost its objectives...true enough, it's more to financial benefits rather than student rights...so yeah go look for the club members and sign the petition ok?!

it's been 3 to 4 years since my fav band, incubus made their first concert here..well in kuala lumpur of course..a concert in kuching here is way impossible..anyways, just read news that they'll be in australia in february 2008 for a concert..so hopefully there'll be an asian tour as well which hopefully include a kuala lumpur leg as well...so in anticipating mood, let me show what went down during the last concert back in 16th march 2004...a memorable one indeed! ;)

first of all...thanx to bono and mike for their honest comments on the previous posts...they have really woken me up and thus i've decided to stand on my decision that i won't be performing for that prom nite...a boycott is a boycott...as for her? i've told her different reason...well somethings are better left unsaid..it's not her fault that we've made this move...it's the people behind her..i wana help her but i also gotta stand in what i believe in...mike, see now u know why i was emo while watching spiderman 3 and the previous spiderman movies?...heheheh...anyways, final decision has been made..so screw everything will happen to us especially me..come what may!...

ohhh can't believe my eyes when i watched the trailer of upcoming remade horror movie, the eye...it starred jessica alba as the blind woman who after an eyes surgery, has the sight for something horrifyingly real..woohh.but i'm sure those reading this have watched the original version which was in chinese, i think...correct me if i'm wrong ok...anyway..can't believe a hot jessica alba taking this role...woohh will definitely catch her in cinema then but will be out next year...but that's ok..she's worth the wait ;)

rage against the machine...

i just signed a petition headed by the president of anime club...it is a protest towards the recent election of the new student council president...fellow students want a re-election as it is unfair because the new elected president helds from the recent student council boardmembers...now if there were going to be a re-election, don't expect me running for it..student politics ain't my thing anymore but if there are petitions or boycotts, i'm so in!!...just like this boycott headed by our very own lecturer...she has asked us, the multimedia students to boycott the upcoming promnite organised by the student council...reasons are it is expensive and most of the clubs are not well or should i say, not informed at all about the programmes for the promnite...either they have plans for us, the music club or not are yet to be seen...either way, 
it is kind of late for us to get ready for it..hence i've decided to not perform at all...now back to the boycott reasons..another reason would be it will be held at a non halal restaurant...well i'm not sure whether it is halal or not, but a promnite at a restaurant?...so u would expect a sit 
and dine kind of promnite...boring...!now the carnival would be a no show i guess...this surely raise some more issues among them...let's see how it'll go...

so yeah...power to the people,! us, the students i mean...

10 motivational tips and they are very helpful..i just started to follow some of them on my life and they eventually work..should do wonders on yours too..now, we all especially me need those tips to get on with life...so here are 
the 10 motivational tips :

1. Do not worry if you make mistakes.
Making mistakes is one way we can learn and improve in our life. There is no one that has never made any mistake. The most important thing here is you realize that you have made mistakes and do not repeat the same mistakes again. You learn more from mistakes you have made than any other way.

2. Feel happy about your life.
Happiness generates more positive energy within you. This energy is important to keep you more optimistic and enthusiastic about your life. Happy people are always motivated to accomplish something in their life.

3. Get out of your comfort zone.
You need to learn to get into unfamiliar surroundings to explore better opportunities. Do not just stick around with the same people, same known places, skills or work. Explore new things that will enhance your ability to achieve your goals and keep you stay motivated.

4. Think the unthinkable.
Nothing will stop you from thinking of goals you want to achieve. You have to dream high in order to set high goals. Everything starts with a dream. Do not limit yourself in your goals and dreams.

5. Read and listen to inspirational materials.

well actually, i'm still working on following those tips...well, old habits die hard..hehehe...

fake it till you're happy

on the days you wake up sad or gray, fake a positive attitude until you start feeling good. yeah that's right..let's face it, sometimes you just have to fake it..on those days you put an extra five minutes into getting ready and pick out something to wear that makes youfeel like yourself...and the most important part is don't mention this thought process to anyone as this is the human condition and doesn't need to be shared with...we are all going to feel less than great on certain days, and those are the days you put your chin up, chest out, and your best foot forward...you focus on what is great about yourself, your life, and put a big smile on your face. Don't give in; remind yourself that people only see what you project...

personally, i often find that by the end of such a day, i actually feel better and have bought in to my own act...i mean how much of our lives do we create with our mind, attitude, and perspective?..am i right?

so why not go for believing that your stuff is special and great and see what happens?

ok i've decided to step out of the contest...it has been bugging me the whole week..i've stepped out not cos i'm afraid...i've decided to do so cos i don't wana give false hope..that ain't just my way...but some of them don't know it yet..maybe after reading this..hate me all u want for not giving u false hopes ;)

mixed feelings...

in the previous posts, i was talking about the defunct Student Council and its ongoing election for the new president post..i just received news that i'll be in a head to head clash running for that post...yes finally there's competition..hehehe..i'm not that confident though cos my competitor did run for that post last year but lost due to a "reported bribary" incident..hhhmmnn...anyway, i seriuosly hope he would win cos the whole main idea of me running for it too is just purely for fun and yeah, as a challenge. besides it was would boring if he won without contesting,rite?...hahaha...another factor however has made me surprised..i've never thought i would so much support from friends..woww...now this has made me confused...i'm not really seriously into this post but the supports they've given are larger than life...now should i just give it a go or just step out?...

in another expected news...

as expected, the supposed annual carnival has been postponed from the 20th oct to the 3rd of the following month...
yup this has shown the disfunctional of the Student Council is really on the rocks..there have been hiccups here and there so 
no surprise to us all...
anyway this news has mixed effect on me...
1stly, i will have more time to practice with 
i-duno-how-many bands to perform in that carnival and yeah more 
preparations for that event for everyone 's involved...
then again as if we all will be that jolly excited about it as the new date 
is very close to the finals and also the other bands which i have chosen will surely have mixed reactions about it too..

this carnival is like a ground breaking scene for the local bands here..
just like year it has exposed many local bands through this carnival...so far this year there has been less gigs...
as mr bono always says,"what to do?"...
so i've chosen just to sit back and  
see how it goes although i can expect the worst is yet to 
happen... 

the election...

yes since i'm in the mood to share something here, might as well i share to u what's been bugging me...The Student Council Election...me and my friends thought we could do something to spice up the election a bit by nominating yours truly in it..as we were about to put my name in it, 
to our dismay, 
there were no other names listed in it yet...aahhh i wanted to bail out but cos for the fun of it,
i just put my name in it..hahaha..since there are no competitors yet,
u might expect a win without contesting eh?..now that bothers me..
u see i suck in handling myself, what more to say about handling the student council...but since the student council is nearly 
disfunctional, 
might as well i defunct it for good...let's see how it goes...will be bz campaigning soon ;)

he's my idol, in fact he is the one who has been influencing my drum playing.that's him in the pic playing his beats...by just listening to his drum beats makes me wana play like him too...thanx jose for the inspiration!!
